We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, to take on a full time position working.
This position is ideal for a qualified and enthusiastic childcare professional looking to join a dynamic team at a thriving nursery in Cambridge. .
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and education to our young learners.
What We Offer:
Salary between £12.50 and £13.00 per hour
Shift patterns are between 8:00 through to 5:30 varying through the week and a total of 37.5 hours per week.

Holidays are 23 days plus Bank Holidays. The nursery is open for the full year closing only between Christmas and the New Year
Our nursery is in the centre of Cambridge, unfortunately no parking at the site, however we are close to the railway station, have a bike park outside and bus stop at the top of the road.
We are a not for profit Charity Organisation caring for children from 3 months to 5 years. We close for 2 Staff Training Days per year in the Spring and Autumn. We are Ofsted registered and our status is Good.
Key Qualifications:
Level 3 qualification in childcare or early years education.
Some experience would be an advantage, but also would be interested in newly qualified if the right person/s.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ACCOUNTABILITY
The Practitioner is accountable to the Nursery Manager, and the Deputy Manager’s and Room Leader as appropriate, but is under the general supervision of all the more senior staff in the room.
CHILDCARE
- To assist in the supervision of the children, ensuring that the highest standards apply at all times.
- To provide a stimulating environment and foster play with a purpose.
- To encourage the children to maintain and develop their own individuality and independence within a supportive group care.
- To keep a record of the activities undertaken during the week. When competent to be involved and contribute to planning of activities.
- To record and/or show awareness of the milestones for the children in your care.
- To bring to the attention of the Nursery Manager any concerns relating to safeguarding and health and safety of the children in your care.
GENERAL
- To be responsible for the care and cleaning of all Nursery equipment ensuring that a high standard is maintained.
- To be involved in fund raising for the Nursery.
- To attend training courses as required by the Nursery Manager.
- To treat any information of matters relating to the work within the Nursery as confidential.
- To participate in Room/staff meetings.
- To be aware of hygiene and cleanliness within the Room you are working, ensuring that a high standard is maintained.
- To adhere to all the Nursery policies.
- To undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time in keeping with the post.
