Early Years Practitioner – Saffron Walden

Part Time: 25-30 Hours per week

Salary: £12.00 - £14.00 per hour depending on qualifications

Experience is required plus NVQ 2/NVQ3

An exciting opportunity has come up to work as an Early Years Practitioner in a well-established nursery located near Saffron Walden. The nursery is less than a ten minutes’ drive from the centre of Saffron Walden

The Early Years Practitioner will be working as Key Worker for the daily needs of children between the ages of birth and three years within the Nursery setting.

   Duties:

• Formulate and operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children attending the Nursery in conjunction with the Owner and Manager.
• Prepare your key children's records and institute reviews for parents, in conjunction with the Owner and Manager.
• Work alongside parents of special needs children and give physical, emotional, intellectual guidance as appropriate.
• Foresee the needs of special needs children and give physical, emotional, intellectual guidance as appropriate and liaise with the settings SENCO.
• Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
• Liaise with and support parents and other family members.
• Undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, for example, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment (including the bathrooms)
• To attend out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings, parent's afternoons.
• Recording accidents/incidents in the books provided
