Nursery Manager – East Finchley

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced individual to join a well-established nursery in East Finchley.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for early childhood education and with a strong Deputy Manager background to make a real difference in the lives of young children.

• Full Time 35 – 40 hours per week
• Salary from £16 - 18 per hour depending on experience
• Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays. 1 extra day annual leave for birthday
• We can also consider a candidate that would prefer to work term time only.

Requirements:

• A recognised qualification in Early Years Education (Level 3 or above).
• Proven experience as a Deputy Manager within a childcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Ofsted regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both in an office environment and within the nursery setting.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the nursery team, ensuring high-quality care and education is provided at all times.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, budgets, and supplies.
• Build strong relationships with parents and maintain open communication channels.
• Develop and implement engaging learning activities, monitoring children's progress and providing support where needed.
• Manage recruitment, training, and development of staff.
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide ongoing coaching and support.
• Handle administrative tasks such as record-keeping and reports.
